Our purpose

The families behind the camera

When you book a session, you're helping write the next chapter of these stories.

A father's quiet courage

I met this father through a dear friend and missionary. He's raising two children by himself, after being forced to flee his home. When Islamic rebels demanded that he choose a side in the civil war, this dad chose instead to protect his family. They fled to Jordan as refugees, where they spent seven very difficult years struggling to survive.

Recently, He and his children were resettled in Italy, where they're learning a new language, adjusting to a new culture, and starting over once again. He is a hardworking, devoted father, determined to give his children a better future.

One of his children has significant special needs, adding to the challenges of everyday life. Between medical care, therapy, and the responsibilities of raising two teenagers on his own, this father carries a tremendous load.

But perhaps the most remarkable part of my friends story is how he came to know Christ.

While living in Jordan, he began debating Christianity online with a Muslim who had converted to Christianity. What began as a debate became a journey of salvation. Through those conversations, God began working in his heart, ultimately leading him to put his faith in Jesus Christ.

Today, this amazing and faithful dad works remotely as an Arabic translator for a well-known Christian ministry based in Colorado, while continuing to build a new life for his family in Italy.

When you book a photography session, you're helping provide for this family's everyday needs, medical care, and the opportunity to build a stable future.

GOSPEL MEANS GOOD NEWS!

The missionary family

Hannes and Mimi have dedicated much of their lives to serving others far from home — helping refugees, sharing the gospel, and bringing hope to people facing extraordinary challenges.

I first met them in 2018 during a short-term mission trip near the Syrian-Jordanian border. I traveled with a team from San Diego to teach photography to refugees, many of whom had never held a camera before. It was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

Hannes and Mimi were the family behind much of that work, and over the years, they've become dear friends.

Today, Hannes trains pastors throughout North Africa, equipping them to disciple others and establish new churches. He and Mimi have two young adult daughters, and together they've devoted their lives to serving others and sharing their faith.

I've been blessed by their friendship and find tremendous joy in being able to play even a small part in supporting their work.

A portion of every photography booking goes directly toward supporting their ministry and helping provide for their family's everyday needs.
